The joy of Thai cooking starts here. Since opening its doors over fifteen years ago, The Oriental Thai Cooking School, The Landmark Nipa Restaurant and The Thai House have taught thousands of people from all over the world the art of preparing fine Thai cuisine.

All participants graduate with the skills to create Thai feasts of the highest standards. At the same time, they will gain insights into the fascinating culture and traditions of Thailand.

Our cooking instructor will skillfully demonstrate methods and steps of Thai cookery from ingredient preparations to the actual cooking. Class participants will be encouraged to undertake the task of grounding pastes, chopping up meat and vegetables, stir-frying, deep-frying and stewing food, and finally proudly taste the most delicious dishes they have ever cooked.

The hands-on classes, followed by lunch, are organized from Monday to Saturday both in morning and afternoon.

Day 1: Arrive in Bangkok

Pick up at the airport and transfer to hotel in the city. Check-in and rest of time shall be at your own leisure. Overnight at hotel.
Day 2: Oriental Cooking Class + Dinner Cruise (B, L, D)

Morning cooking class at the Oriental Mandarin Hotel in Bangkok. Our cooking instructor will skillfully demonstrate methods and steps of Thai cookery from ingredient preparations to the actual cooking. Class participants will be encouraged to undertake the task of grounding pastes, chopping up meat and vegetables, stir-frying, deep-frying and stewing food, and finally proudly taste the most delicious dishes they have ever cooked. Cooking menus are different day by day and and we will send you list of the cooking menu at the time of booking confirmed. Below are samples of dishes you shall learn to cook.

 

Monday (ie.)

    * Pastry Shells with Vegetable Stuffing ~ Grathong Thawng Phak
    * Mushroom Salad ~ Yam Hed
    * Herbed Chicken Soup ~ Tom Gai Prung
    * Mung Bean-Sticky Rice Dumplings in Coconut Sauce ~ Bua Loy

Treat yourself and your loved ones with a 2.5 hour evening cruise along Bangkok's Chao Phraya river. Watch river life go by and feast on a Thai dinner feast as the band on board entertains you. This will be a memorable night on board one of Bangkok's most luxurious restaurant boats relaxing in modern comfort and dining like King Rama V on a variety of Thai dishes. As you cruise slowly along the Chao Phraya River you will pass The Temple of Dawn and the Grand Palace complex which both provide sensational twilight photo opportunities. It is also a great vantage point to watch the life along the river as people slowly start to unwind or head home after a busy day. Transfer back to hotel and overnight at hotel in Bangkok.

Day 3: Cooking at Landmark Nipa Restaurant & Tours (B, L, D)

Enjoy a private morning tour of the infamous Damnoen Saduak Floating Market, where villagers transport their agricultural products by canals to the center of trading. In the afternoon, enjoy a Thai Culinary course at the  Landmark Nipa Restaurant - The restaurant offers one to seven-day culinary programs designed to teach beginners all the basics of Thai cooking and enable them to prepare curries, soups, salads and other dishes that make up a Thai meal. The restaurant’s chefs lecture on ingredients and recipes, and then let students participate in the cooking and tasting. Nipa is famous for its authentic food, which has not been toned down to suit milder palates, and the course offers plenty of hands-on experience. Students will receive a recipe book in English. Fruit and vegetable carving sessions can be arranged separately.  Multi-day courses are available upon request. Dinner and overnight at hotel in Bangkok.
Day 4: Oriental Cooking Class & Half day city Tours (B, L)

Having breakfast at your hotel and then we will go to Mandarin Oriental Hotel where another cooking class with a top Chef of the Mandarin Hotel shall be taken today.  Balance of the day at your leisure to relax or indulge in a variety of activities on resort grounds. Overnight at hotel in Bangkok
Day 5: Full Day Cooking at THAI HOUSE (B, L, D)

To day is spent at the Thai House where you could how to prepare and cook various delicious Thai dishes - The Thai House is a traditional Thai house built with a golden teakwood structure in an architectural style that was popular around the Ayutthaya region in central Thailand some 150 years ago. The distinctive wing-shaped roof structure is inspired by the temples. It is thought that these wings are a means of the inhabitants to reach heaven. Culinary courses featured at the Thai House are designed for participants with little time but who wish to attain the basic knowledge it takes to create menus for home entertainment, or simply to enjoy a delicious home-cooked meal. The cooking classes are held in an outdoor classroom in the midst of an orchard of mango, banana, papaya and coconut trees, and a kitchen garden of fresh herbs and spices used in the recipes. Lessons featuring brief lectures, the preparation of ingredients, hands-on cooking demonstrations and time for discussion and enjoying the fruits of success are conducted in an open air kitchen. Transfer you back to hotel and overnight at hotel in Bangkok.

Day 6: Depart Bangkok (B)

Free at leisure until we will transfer you to the airport to take your flight onward. End of service.
